I don't care what anybody says. Trump's trials won't help his poll numbers.

Since his State of the Union address, Biden significantly cut into Trump's polling lead to where it is now: a virtual tie.

Trump's hush money/falsified business records trial is expected to last six weeks. I predict that in two months Biden's lead over Trump in the polls will grow and keep growing into a permanent lead.

Trump's trials are hurting him in two ways: it's keeping Trump off the campaign trail and his legal bills are gobbling up RNC campaign resources. Incidentally Trump was slated to hold a rally in North Carolina this weekend but it was cancelled due to inclement weather. Even God doesn't want to see Trump re-elected.

Because of Trump's dwindling resources, he is desperately asking Biden to debate him. Never mind that Trump refused to debate his GOP rivals during the primaries. But it's one way for Trump to get free TV airtime.

It's not just desperate, it's very odd. Presidential debates are never held this early in an election year. I hope Biden lets Trump grovel some more and then debates him once late in the year.

    Wassup, buddy!!!!!?

RCP? Trump leads in 4 of the last 6 polls. T'others are ties.

538? The "dithering and diminished" Doddering Old Fool's approval is 17 points under water.

"End of quote. Repeat the line."

You apparently think Trump is doing well in the polls, although I think you are putting too much faith in Trump’s 0.4% current lead. So do you disagree with my prediction that Biden will continue to improve in the polls and definitively surpass Trump in the next couple of months?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on April 21, 2024 12:21 pm

I suspect that the polls will be and stay close up to the election but... asufutimaehaehfutbw, man!,... Joe's truly "dithering and diminished."

Ideology aside, that's the sort of thing that common sense moderate and independent voters notice and care about.

And, remember. Hillary beat Trump by 2.1% and lost the Electoral College 304-227.

Being as brain addled as he is, I think that the Flatulent Fool may pull ahead by a point or a point and a half, considering Trump's legal woes. But, I can't see Joe winning in Michigan or Georgia, North Carolina or Nevada. And, I think Pennsylvania and Wisconsin are both pure toss-ups.

The GOP is just standing to one side like good little cucks watching their party get f*cked by Trump.

Did that sound a bit harsh? Shame the board doesn't allow courtesy editing.

    Indy,
Don't worry about it sounding too harsh. It has the advantage of being accurate. Donald Trump is spending as much on legal bills as he is on campaigning. Trump's legal bills aren't just subtracting from his campaign advertising, it's at the expense of down ballot Republicans. I am fine with that btw but Republicans have reason to gripe.

Year, Trump is f*cking the GOP.

Yeah! Trump is despicable. Absolutely. But, the Dem guy is a "feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap."

You call Trump despicable but you don't seem to remember that Trump was the guy who convinced you that "The Swamp" is more than a figment of the collective MAGA imagination.

How America Escapes Its Conspiracy-Theory Crisis
The idea of the deep state saturates Trump’s rhetoric and worldview. His Presidency is predicated on the idea that the United States government is itself an enemy of the people. “Somebody said, President, what’s the toughest country to deal with? Is it Russia? Is it China? Is it North Korea?” Trump told attendees, at a recent fund-raiser. “No, the toughest country by far is dealing with the United States. It’s true. These people are sick.” On the day that he signed the civil-service executive order, the President tweeted, “I am not just running against Biden, I am running against the Corrupt Media, the Big Tech Giants, and the Washington Swamp.”

Since entering politics, Trump has trafficked in conspiracy theories for political gain.
